On October 25, 1927, the steamship “Principessa Mafalda“ sinks off the coast of Brazil. 314 passengers and crew lose their lives, amongst them the young Mimi Bucherer-Heeb, the company's founder's daughter-in-law. In her honour, Carl F. Bucherer launches the limited edition “Tribute to Mimi“ at the Baselworld 2005 trade fair.
