Dynamic Shock Absorption DSA.

The peripheral arrangement of the oscillating weight was made possible by the use of rollers coated with DLC (diamond-like carbon), incorporated by Carl F. Bucherer into new, maintenance-free high-tech ball bearings with ceramic balls. Movable rocking bars support these ball-bearing-roller assemblies. Sophisticated sprung arms ensure highly-precise roller positioning; eccentrics enable accurate adjustment of the rocking bars. This patented, dynamic protection, known as dynamic shock absorption (DSA), is remarkably efficient and reliable. Radial displacements of the oscillating weight in the event of a significant shock are absorbed by the sides of the bridge.
