The “Goldene Unruh” (“Golden Balance Wheel”) has been awarded to the best watches in the world since 1998. Within the scope of this competition, the editors of the German “Uhren-Magazin” award the special technical prize to exceptional mechanical watch movements. In 2009, this prize went to the CFB A1000 by Carl F. Bucherer. “We are very proud that our manufacture caliber has been distinguished by winning the watch magazine’s special technical prize. The CFB A1000 with its peripheral winding rotor illustrates perfectly what Carl F. Bucherer stands for – watchmaking innovation. At the same time, this construction necessitates fewer components and thereby increases the life expectancy of the movement”, explains Thomas Morf, CEO Carl F. Bucherer, after the presentation of the prize.
