Cleaning
Clean the surfaces of the watch by gently rubbing with a micro-fibre cloth. The watch back can be cleaned by carefully using a soft toothbrush and a little soapy water, and can gently be dried using a fluff-free cloth.
Leather is a natural product which undergoes a natural aging process. A process which is quickened by water. Contact with water should therefore ideally be avoided.
Services
A watch is a mechanical instrument requiring regular services, preferably at one of our official service points. A service includes taking the movement completely apart and checking the individual components for wear, plus cleaning and reassembly, oiling and greasing of the movement and cleaning the watch case. In order to guarantee that the watch continues to function as it should, this service should be carried out aobut every four years.
Water Resistance
To ensure that your Carl F. Bucherer remains water-resistant, we recommend that you have the water resistance checked at least once a year. Should the inside of the watch glass become misted over, then please take your watch immediately to one of our official service points.
