Every two years, we are delighted to donate a unique timepiece to the Only Watch charity auction, to help raise money in support of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
For 2023 – the fifth time we’ve participated – we were inspired by the dynamic CFB Capsule Collection released earlier this year. Our watchmakers have created an almost completely black dramatic watch with an injection of vibrant green that matches the color of the Only Watch logo.
Presented in a forged carbon case, and featuring our signature ‘floating’ tourbillon and a peripherally mounted automatic winding system, the Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral Only Watch is a high-complication timepiece with an urban feel.
From the front, the tourbillon’s second hand and cage arms, executed in an eye-catching green, contrast with an almost all-black aesthetic: a domed, matt black dial, anthracite wedge hands, and wedge index mark at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, and a black, hybrid rubber strap.
Seen from the reverse, through its sapphire crystal case back, the oscillating weight of a peripherally mounted automatic winding system has also been finished in the same vivid green.
Only Watch was established in 2005 by Luc Pettavino, then the CEO of the Monaco Yacht Show, whose son, Paul, suffered from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The last time the auction took place, in 2021, it raised CHF 30 million for research into the disease.
This year’s auction will take place on November 5, 2023, at 14:00 (CET), at the PALEXPO convention center in Geneva, Switzerland, alongside other unique examples contributed from across the high-end watchmaking industry. Before the auction, the full collection goes on a world tour, to generate interest among international watch aficionados in key markets.
The successful bidder will be invited on a tour of our manufacturing facilities in Lengnau, Switzerland.
