Novelties 2019

Baselworld 2019

2019 promises to be a year of novelty for Baselworld. Carl F. Bucherer will therefore be taking the opportunity to both foster tradition and introduce innovation at the occasion of this year's World Watch and Jewellery Show. In this regard, the Heritage BiCompax Annual brings the 1950s into the present, while the Patravi ScubaTec series completes the collection with elegant diving watches for him and for her. The new chronographs bring together sports appeal and elegance, whether in the form of the sleek Manero Flyback or the pastel-colored Patravi ChronoDate Lady. Carl F. Bucherer's new pieces bring a touch of Lucerne watchmaker's art to your wrist - and to Basel.

Ode to a Rich Heritage

The Carl F. Bucherer Heritage line was launched in New York just last year. It is a tribute to both the multifaceted tradition of the Swiss watchmaker and Carl F. Bucherer’s roots in Lucerne. The ever-expanding Heritage collection consists of exclusive, limited-edition timepieces that unite unique design with more than 130 years of “Made of Lucerne” watchmaking tradition and craftsmanship. With refined complications and precious materials, these extraordinary wristwatches are bound to stand the test of time.

Watchmaking for a good cause

The latest special edition to join the Patravi ScubaTec family is an ode to a very special ocean dweller: the black manta ray. These gentle giants are a vision of grace as they effortlessly glide through the coastal waters they call home. The new Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta Special Edition is a COSC-certified chronometer that is in no way inferior to the sea creature that inspired it. No matter how its functionalities are used, the Patravi ScubaTec Black Manta Special Edition remains a symbol of conservation and values that endure over generations. Developed especially for Carl F. Bucherer, its innovative textile strap is mostly composed of recycled PET bottles and features bronze-colored contrast stitching.

Back in 1888, Swiss entrepreneur and visionary Carl Friedrich Bucherer dared to dream and opened his first specialty shop for watches and jewelry in Lucerne. Now the eponymous company has redefined its brand identity and passes another milestone in its almost 130-year history.

With its latest boutique, the Swiss watch manufacturer offers visitors a new way to experience the world of Carl F. Bucherer. The interior exudes understated luxury, accentuated by the golden elements of the brand logo, launched in 2016, and the distinctive brand imagery that also reflects the cosmopolitan nature of the city of Lucerne.

“As a Swiss watch manufacturer that has a very deep connection to Lucerne, opening our new boutique here is a very special and unique event.” – Carl F. Bucherer CEO Sascha Moeri
