This timepiece’s connection to the ocean goes far beyond its appearance. With its screw-down crown and automatic helium release valve, it is ideal for underwater adventures – as evidenced by its water-resistance to 50 bar (500 m). It is reliably powered by the CFB 1950.1 caliber automatic movement with a power reserve of 38 hours. Its extraordinary precision has been officially confirmed by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) independent Swiss chronometer testing institute. Each watch is accompanied by an individual COSC certificate.

Back in Black: The Design

This model also matches the Special Edition’s sustainability in every way. The ScubaTec Black Manta Special Edition is dedicated to protecting the oceans and to the brand’s partnership with the Manta Trust charitable organization. The watchmaker has been cooperating with the Manta Trust for many years to help conserve manta rays and their habitats. The idea of sustainability, which Carl F. Bucherer actively supports, is also expressed in the new version. A black rubber strap with fabric made of 100% recycled plastic bottles removed from the ocean rounds out the sporty, elegant look.
