USE FOR MARKETING PURPOSES

a. DoubleClick by Google/DoubleClick Floodlight

This website uses DoubleClick by Google, a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google uses the so-called DoubleClick cookie for this purpose, which enables the browser used by the user to be recognised when visiting other websites. The information generated by the cookie about your visit to these websites (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States (see below for Information on data transmissions to the United States).

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website with regard to the ads to be placed, compiling reports on website activity and advertising for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not, however, associate the IP address of users with any other data held by Google.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google's server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge: Through the integration of DoubleClick Google receives the information that you have called the relevant part of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that the provider may find out and store your IP address.

In addition, the DoubleClick Floodlight cookies used enable us to understand whether you are performing any actions on our website after you have accessed or clicked (conversion tracking) on one of our display/video ads on Google or another platform via DoubleClick. DoubleClick uses this cookie to understand the content you interact with on our website so that we can send you targeted advertisements later.

For more information about DoubleClick by Google, please visit https://www.google.com/doubleclick as well as Google's privacy policy in general: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=de.

The creation of pseudonymised user profiles for advertising and analysis purposes is based on a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. This applies to all listed data processing operations. The legitimate interest lies in direct marketing and the analysis of the use of our website.

You can object to the aforementioned data processing in various ways: a) by setting your browser software accordingly, in particular by suppressing third party cookies to prevent you from receiving advertisements from third parties (see section 6 below); b) by deactivating cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain, https://www.google.com/settings/ads, whereby this setting is deleted when you delete your cookies; c) by disabling the interest-based ads of the providers that are part of the "About Ads" self-regulatory campaign via the link http://www.aboutads.info/choices, whereby this setting is deleted when you delete your cookies; d) by permanently disabling it in your Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browsers via the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

b. Facebook Pixel/Facebook Custom Audience

On our website we use the so-called "Facebook Pixel" of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are resident in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Facebook uses the Facebook pixel to identify visitors to our website as a target group for displaying ads (known as "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use Facebook pixels to display Facebook ads placed by us only to Facebook users who have shown an interest in our site or who have certain features (e.g., interests in certain topics or products determined by the web pages visited) that we submit to Facebook (custom audiences).

We also use the Facebook pixel to ensure that our Facebook ads match the potential interest of users and are not annoying. Using the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were referred to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (known as "conversion").

The Facebook pixel is directly integrated by Facebook when you visit our website and can store a so-called cookie on your device. If you then log in to Facebook or visit Facebook when logged in, the visit to our website is noted in your profile. The data collected about you is anonymous to us and therefore does not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible. The data can therefore be used by Facebook for its own market research and advertising purposes.

Furthermore, when using the Facebook pixel, we use the additional function "extended comparison" where data for the formation of target groups ("Custom Audiences" or "Look Alike Audiences") is transmitted to Facebook in encrypted form.

The processing of data by Facebook takes place within the framework of Facebook’s Privacy Policy. You can obtain special information and details on Facebook pixels and its functionality in the Help Area of Facebook.

You may also opt-out of the use of cookies to measure reach and for advertising purposes via the deactivation page of network advertising initiative. You can find additional opt-out options here:

http://www.aboutads.info/choices

c. Google AdWords Remarketing

We use Google AdWords on our website. Google AdWords is an online advertising program from Google. We use the remarketing function. This enables us to use cookies to present advertisements based on the interests of users of our website. For this purpose, the interaction of the users on our website is analysed, e.g. which offers the user is interested in in order to be able to display targeted advertisements to the users on other pages even after visiting our website. The cookies used serve to uniquely identify a web browser on a particular computer and not to identify a person; personal data is not stored.

You can deactivate the use of cookies by Google by following the following link and downloading and installing the plug-in provided there: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

For more information about Google Remarketing and Google's privacy policy, please visit: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.

The legal basis for the aforementioned data processing lies in our interest in the personalised and interest-based advertising of our offer (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

d. Sizmek Retargeting

We use the technology of the provider Sizmek Inc., 401 Park Avenue S, 10016 New York City, USA, which enables us to present you with relevant and targeted advertising media and advertisements based on your interests and your usage behaviour on our website, as well as on the offers of third parties. We also use Sizmek to measure and statistically evaluate the success of our advertisements (e.g. interaction with or click on an advertisement).

Cookies are used for this purpose in order to analyse and evaluate your usage behaviour (e.g. clicks) and the interaction with advertisements. The data collected includes use-related data (e.g. clicks on advertisements, websites, time and duration of visit) and browser data (e.g. language setting, screen resolution) which do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person.

For more detailed information on privacy and your setting options, see https://www.sizmek.com/privacy-policy/.You can object to the use of Sizmek via the opt-out tool under https://www.sizmek.com/privacy-policy/ at any time.

The anonymous IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. In such cases, we provide contractual guarantees to ensure that Google maintains an adequate level of data protection.

The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on the activities on the website and to provide further services associated with the use of the website and the Internet for purposes of market research and needs-based design of the website. This is done without distinction, restriction or exemption on the basis of the objective pursued and without objective criteria that would make it possible to restrict the US authorities access to personal data and its subsequent use for specific, strictly limited purposes that would justify access to that data.

Users residing in an EU Member State are advised that the US does not have an adequate level of data protection from the point of view of the European Union, partly because of the issues mentioned in this section. To the extent that we have stated in this Privacy Policy that recipients of data (such as Google) are located in the United States, we will ensure that your data is protected at an appropriate level with our partners either by contractual arrangements with these companies or by ensuring that these companies are certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield.
